Benjamin Swayze oral history, 1966-1968.

In this interview, Benjamin Swayze discusses his experiences growing sugar beets and integrating them into his farm operation. Topics include: raising beets on experimental plots in 1962 and 1963; his use of migrant labor to thin and weed beets; contract negotiations between farmers and the Empire State Sugar Company; and problems he experienced growing and harvesting his crop.
